Thomas G. Feeney, au nom duquel un fonds a été créé et en mémoire duquel la présente conférence annuelle est offerte était le doyen fondateur de la Section de common law. Son nom est indissociable des études de common law à l’Université d’Ottawa. Le doyen Feeney a cherché à développer une faculté de droit qui offre des fondements solides pour la pratique du droit et prépare des juristes à bien servir le public et law profession en Ontario et ailleurs au Canada.
The Feeney Lecture
Thomas G. Feeney, in whose name a fund is established and whom this annual lecture honours, was the founding Dean of the Common Section. His name is indelibly attached to the study of common law at the University of Ottawa. Dean Feeney strove to build a law school whose graduates would have a solid foundation for the practice of law and would be of service to the public and to their profession in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
